Marios Stylianou presents his solo photography exhibition titled, «Squared Moments», at 6x6 Centre for Photography, in Limassol. The exhibition will open on Wednesday, 11 October 2023, at 7p.m. and will remain open until Monday, 16 October, with free entrance.
About the exhibition:
«The pandemic and staying at home were the basic impulse for my return to photography. Suddenly, those endless hours at home started to get interesting as I daily observed the sunlight, from sunrise to sundown, and the moonrise, which oftentimes appeared before dusk.
My technical past with photography motivated me to experiment daily. Nature and specifically, a dried tall tree in the neighbor’s yard which became the home for hundreds of birds, became an obsession. Waking up at dawn… an empty tree… the wait… the visitors arrive and fly away freely. No “staying at home” for them. Nature offered multiple wonderful moments that I tried to capture photographically and frame them in a square. »
The photographs are available in a limited edition of two reprints.
