Our experienced tutors deliver effective photography-instruction, hands-on assistance and subject-knowledge transfer, while wrapping up with group discussions and projections of the work produced. Critique of the work in group sessions will help you improve your photography.

«VISUAL NARRATIVES AND STORYTELLING »
A Hands-on Documentary Photography Workshop with award-winning photographer Myrto Papadopoulos
Workshop Dates:10, 11 and 12 March 2023
In this intensive hands-on three-day photographic workshop, participants got to learn about the process, the methods, and the multiple ways that a visual narrative can be constructed. They were encouraged to develop their own creative practices and expansive modes of storytelling, while exploring strategies for working in the field. The workshop helped participants transform their photography into a robust narrative by telling a story in new and creative visual ways.
PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Workshop Date: Sunday, 27 November 2022, 11:00-15:00
This portrait photography workshop addressed exclusively young people (14-17 yrs) from across Cyprus. In this fun workshop participants learnt tips and techniques on portrait photography, using their smartphone or camera!
ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
In collaboration with The House of ScienceA practical astrophotography workshop focusing on the milky way. Our goal was for all participants to have their own printed photo by the end of the series.
Wednesday 30/06/2021, 18:00 – 21:00 at the House of Science:
Theory and background: Photography basics, focusing in the dark, composition, lighting, exposure, software.
Saturday 03/07/2021, 20:00 – 00:00 at Amiantos:
Photo shooting, equipment demonstration (star trackers, different wide-angle lenses) and observation of different celestial objects through our telescopes (planets and more).
Wednesday 07/07/2021, 18:00 – 21:00 at the 6×6 Centre for Photography:
Post processing in Photoshop and Lightroom, introduction to advanced techniques such as image stacking.
TROODOS - PAPHOS FOREST: WITHIN FOREST AND RIVERS

Delving into the beauty of the Marathasa Valley, with its pine and oak forests giving way to the cherry, almond and apple trees, the impressive geologies of the Troodos Mountain as the backdrop, and the Venetian Bridges arching over rivers will get you behind your lenses in no time.
ASKAS: EXPEDITION AT PITSILIA AREA

On the holiday period of the 1st April, we travelled to Askas village and the nearby area together with photographer Silvio Rusmigo. Hiking nature trails, capturing photographic vantage points, lodging at a traditional stone house, enjoying local Cypriot food and discovering the Cypriot countryside and its people were the major highlights of this photography expedition! AKAMAS: TAKING ON THE WEST COAST

Experience the peninsula of Akamas, with its shores, sea caves, flora and fauna through your camera lens and indulge in the natural beauty of Cyprus's most treasured Natura 2000 site. Akamas supports a wide diversity of life including many vulnerable species, some of which are endemic. Sheer cliffs, sun-kissed shores, rare flowers and plants and dramatic landscapes, are going to get you clicking away. The three-day workshop is enhanced by live image processing, discussions on the images captured by the group, and a valuable theory session by both the photographer tutor and local scientists with expertise on the Akamas peninsula.
