Friends of the Earth Cyprus present the photography exhibition "Food Sovereignty and Youth in Cyprus", at 6x6 Centre for Photography in Limassol. The exhibition opens this Wednesday, 26th of August 2020, at 7.30p.m. with the presence of Friends of the Earth Cyprus and Kyriakos Hadjielia who will discuss food sovereignty and art. A limited number of visitors will be admitted simultaneously, abiding by the government decree for admittance per square meters. Visitors MUST reserve their slot at 25347042. The exhibition will remain open for the public until the 1st of September. Τhe use of mask is mandatory.
The event is part of the European program "Growing Together" and aims to highlight topics of food sovereignty, through the eyes of the youth in Cyprus. The way food is produced, distributed, and consumed and the rights arising from this chain are projected through the photographs of Kyriakos Hadjielia.
Kyriakos Hadjielia deals academically and professionally with photography and specifically with the field of documentary and visual anthropology, combining art with socio-political and environmental issues, such as urban living, buffer zone, migration and climate change.

The exhibition will comply with COVID-19 protection measures.

Part of the proceeds from the sales of photographs will be donated to Friends of the Earth Cyprus.
